The plumbing system of a hot tub will accumulate buildup over time from chemical binders, body oil, soap residue, calcium, minerals, and more.  The reason that we recommend the use of the Cleanser first is that Spa Marvel Water Treatment has inherent descaling properties. When added to water in a hot tub, the Spa Marvel itself will clean the accumulated debris out of the plumbing and as this debris is introduced to the water it may cause cloudy water, odours, fluctuations in pH and foaming.
