Spa Marvel Filter Cleaner
Deep-cleaning power without harsh chemicals — for cleaner filters, clearer water, and better performance.
Spa Marvel Filter Cleaner delivers a powerful clean without harsh acids or bleach, making it the safest and most effective way to restore your filter’s performance. It penetrates deep into the cartridge fabric to remove and loosen oils, hair, dirt, lotions, cosmetics, and grime.
With 8 full cleanings per bottle, it offers exceptional value at a fraction of the cost of other filter cleaners—making it the most effective, most economical choice for spa owners.
Specially formulated for spa and pool cartridge filters, Spa Marvel Filter Cleaner is gentle on filter fabric but tough on grime. It breaks down embedded contaminants, allowing them to rinse away more easily, helping your filter to capture more debris; keeping your water clearer and easier to maintain.
Our non-foaming formula means that even if a trace amount remains after rinsing, it won’t create foam or interfere with your water.

Instructions
- Remove the filter from your pool or spa.
- Rinse off heavy debris with a garden hose to remove hair, leaves and surface dirt
- Prepare the solution: Add two capfuls of Spa Marvel Filter Cleaner to up to 20 litres (5 gallons) of fresh water in a pail and mix to dissolve.
- Soak the filter in the solution for at least 4 hours – overnight is ideal for a deep clean.
- Rinse thoroughly:
-
- Rinse the filter with a strong stream of water, separating the pleats as you go.
- The water pressure from showers and kitchen sinks is often not strong enough to remove the debris.
- Many people carefully use a pressure washer, or the spray wand at a coin-operated car wash, which works extremely well.
- If, after rinsing, the filter still looks discolored or smells bad, it is not fully clean. Rinse it again with a stronger stream of water, or repeat the soak if necessary
6. Reinstall the filter and resume normal operation.
Note: Most reusable hot tub filters should be replaced after 12 cleanings, or 12 months, whichever comes first.
Maintenance Tips
A weekly quick rinse, combined with a thorough monthly cleaning using Spa Marvel Filter Cleaner, is ideal for most hot tub users. In a swimming pool, if the filter pressure is 8-10 PSI over its startup (freshly cleaned) level, it’s time to clean it.
Remember: The filter takes out whatever is put into the pool and spa. The introduction of hairspray, makeup, deodorant, perfume, creams, lotions, bug spray and sunscreen can have a negative impact on your water and will increase your frequency of filter cleaning.
Regular cleaning helps to keep water clearer and fresher-smelling, reduce strain on pumps and heaters, and help your sanitizer (chlorine/bromine) work more efficiently.
