You will not harm your spa by operating it with the filters out.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Pour 1 bottle of <strong>Spa Marvel Cleanser<\/strong> into the existing water. (If you have a <em><strong>Swim Spa please add 3 bottles of Cleanser<\/strong><\/em>).\u00a0 Turn pumps on high for at least 1 hour.\u00a0 If the spa is less than 3 months old, or if <strong>Spa Marvel Water Treatment<\/strong> has been used in the existing water, drain the spa after 1 hour. Otherwise, leave the Cleanser in the water for at least another 23 hours on the regular filtration cycles. If using well water or poor quality source water, use of a pre filter such as the\u00a0<a style=\"color: #6e6e6e;\" href=\"https:\/\/spamarvel.com\/x10-water-filter\/\"><strong>X10 Water Filter<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is strongly\u00a0recommended.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Heat water<\/strong>\u00a0to desired temperature.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Add 1 full bottle of\u00a0<a style=\"color: #6e6e6e;\" href=\"https:\/\/spamarvel.com\/spa-marvel-water-treatment-and-conditioner\/\">Spa Marvel<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Water Treatment &amp; Conditioner<\/strong>\u00a0for ALL tubs up to 500 gallons (2,000 litres). In a swim spa add 1 bottle per month. In a swimming pool use\u00a0<a style=\"color: #6e6e6e;\" href=\"https:\/\/spamarvel.com\/pool-marvel\/\"><strong>Pool Marvel<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ensure that the spa is programmed to filter<\/strong>\u00a0a minimum of 6 hours a day. Spas with low-volume circulation\/hush pumps should be programmed to filter a\u00a0<u>minimum\u00a0<\/u>of 18 hours a day (24 hours a day is preferred).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Add sanitizer<\/strong>\u00a0as per your professional spa retailer\u2019s guide\u00adlines.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Balance alkalinity<\/strong> to between 80-150 ppm, ideally between 120-150ppm, if necessary (unless otherwise directed by your professional spa retailer).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Balance pH<\/strong>\u00a0to between 7.2 and 8.2.
